2009 Art, Scholarship award winners recognized

      Art Show chair Kathy French (above, L)  was pleased to announce to local Kiwanians that the entry by Anna Pell, a sixth grader at LaGrange Academy, earned first-place at the Kiwanis state competition.

   Also recognized was Ji-Soo Kim, a sixth grade student at Callaway Middle School, whose mosaic artwork was chosen as the Wates Keller Award winner.

     Following the art show recognitions, LaGrange Kiwanis Club college scholarships were presented to Troup High seniors Nickie Sams, Turner Davis, Melissa Conner and Keyanna Boyd. The scholarship winners are joined in the photo below by scholarship committee members Harry Stribling, Ethyl Ault and Jack Tate.
